  • "There is a hidden gem in Avalon…. Old Flame Mending! They sits across the street from the parking lot next to borough hall. When Buddy died I took all his blankets to Rebecca and asked her if she could make me a pillow from them. When she called and said that the pillow was done and I was so excited! When I walked in the shop and saw my pillow, I started to cry! My heart was so happy...

  • "I have a very, very loved pair of vintage denim that ripped completely across the leg under the back pocket, and down the back seam. Brought them to Old Flame and together we picked the thread color and repair technique that best suited the style of the pants. I really didn’t think the jeans were repairable, but these women worked some sort of miracle! They look better than I could have ever imagined, and I was so incredibly happy that I didn’t have to retire my favorite jeans. Thank you!!!"

  • "This jean jacket is 20+ years old and it’s my absolute favorite. She finally started showing wear and tear this past year and I wasn’t parting with her. Old Flame Mending literally gave her a new lease on life. Here’s to 20 more years."

    Amanda P.
