Mask Information

Care Instructions
Thank you so much for your mask order!
Masks are not medical-grade, and meant purely for personal protection in non-medical public settings. Old Flame Mending cannot guarantee that our masks will prevent the spread of any disease. Please continue to practice social distancing, hand washing, and other guidelines recommended by the CDC.

WASH MASK BEFORE FIRST USE! Masks are not returnable.

Wash your mask after every time you use it. It is recommended to replace the filter after every use. DO NOT PUT THE FILTER IN THE WASHING MACHINE OR DRYER. To wash mask by hand: use soap and hot running water. Lather for 20 seconds and rinse (same as you would to wash your hands). Hang dry/ dry flat.
To machine wash: tie strings together to prevent them from tangling. Wash on hot cycle with like colors. Masks are 100% cotton so they may shrink a little bit in the dryer, but feel free to use a dryer in a pinch. Otherwise, hang dry/ dry flat if you can.

A note on filters: A mask with no filter  is better than no mask, but for extra protection you should place a filter inside the pocket. Non-woven Polypropylene (included)  is preferred, but you can also use a coffee filter, a dried-out face or baby wipe, a piece of a vacuum bag, or reusable fabric grocery bags.

Stay Safe,
Rebecca & Tia, Old Flame Mending
