Crochet Darning Workshop

Crochet Darning Workshop

In this class, we will learn how to creatively use crochet to close holes on knit garments and textiles. Using simple crochet techniques, we will secure the edges of the hole and then fill it in with crochet stitches.

There is lots of room for creativity and experimentation with this technique. For example, if you have chunkier weight socks, the sculptural nature of crochet can work wonders at darning a heel. This technique also allows for the creation of small circular motifs for round-ish holes in things like sweaters and blankets. Other shapes can be accommodated as well using a free form crochet style
